What’s your story? I’ll help you tell it.

I strive to create animations and designs that look great but also tell a story.

First and foremost I consider myself a storyteller. And not just because I studied Screenwriting at Vancouver Film School (where I also studied 3D Animation & Visual Effects), or because I sold a feature length screenplay for a bright, shiny Canadian Loonie (that I still have). I’m a storyteller because even as a child while making flip books from discarded note pads in my parents’ print shop, my focus was on telling a story. Not just animating a bouncing ball or a walk cycle. Why was the ball bouncing? Where is that stickman going?

In college I studied Engineering and quickly realized I needed a creative outlet to balance out my technical skills, so I double majored in Communications as well. I got involved with the theatre program where I acted and wrote numerous plays (always careful to write myself the best lines) and even won a Hammy Award. In a momentary lapse in judgement, I also tried my hand at stand-up comedy (Bill Burr has nothing to worry about).

I worked on multiple children’s television programs and commercials before leading the animation team on the Major League Baseball 2K game series. More recently I’ve been consulting with major law firms creating intricate presentations, graphics, and animations designed to simplify complex technical information into a story that will be easily understandable to non-technical audiences.
